- 1 lb (450g) linguiça sausage, casings removed
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
For assembly:
- 4 hamburger buns
- 4 slices cheese (mozzarella or cheddar)
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Lettuce leaves
- 2 tomatoes, sliced
- Mayonnaise
- Mustard
- Ketchup (optional)
Instructions:
- In a bowl, combine the linguiça meat, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, parsley, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well until evenly combined.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into patties about 3/4 inch thick. Refrigerate for 10 minutes to firm up.
