Recipe

BBQ Burger
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Prep Time: 20 minutes
Servings: 4
Ingredients:
  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend)
  • 4 brioche burger buns
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 8 strips bacon
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 4 leaves lettuce
  • 8 pickle slices
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or butter
Instructions:
  1. Season the ground beef with salt and pepper, then divide into 4 equal portions and form into patties slightly larger than your buns.
  2. Cook bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside on paper towels.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté sliced onions in bacon fat or olive oil until caramelized, about 8-10 minutes. Set aside.
  4. Heat a grill or cast-iron skillet over high heat. Cook burger patties for 4-5 minutes per side for medium doneness. During the last minute, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty to melt.
  5. Toast the brioche buns cut-side down on the grill or in a pan until golden brown.
  6. Assemble burgers: Spread BBQ sauce on both bun halves, add lettuce, place the cheesy patty on the bottom bun, top with caramelized onions, crispy bacon, and pickles. Close with the top bun.
  7. Serve immediately while hot and enjoy!
