Cook Time: 15 minutes
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Servings: 1 burger

Ingredients:

  • 1 burger bun
  • 150–200 g ground beef (80/20 recommended)
  • 2–3 slices of bacon
  • 1 slice of cheddar or American cheese
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon butter (optional, for toasting bun)
  • Lettuce, tomato, and onion (optional)
  • Mayonnaise, ketchup, or burger sauce (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the bacon:
Fry the bacon slices in a pan over medium heat until crispy. Set aside on paper towels to drain excess fat.
  2. Shape the patty:
Season the ground beef with salt and pepper. Form into a burger patty slightly wider than the bun.
  3. Cook the burger:
Grill or pan-fry the patty over medium-high heat for about 3–5 minutes per side, or until desired doneness.
  4. Add cheese:
Place the cheese slice on top of the patty during the last minute of cooking so it melts.
  5. Toast the bun:
Lightly butter the bun and toast it in a pan until golden.
  6. Assemble the X-Bacon:
Spread sauce on the bun, add lettuce (optional), place the cheesy patty, then top with crispy bacon, tomato, and onion if desired.
  7. Serve:
Close the burger and serve immediately while hot and juicy.
