Ingredients

  • 2 brioche burger buns
  • 2 beef burger patties (about 150 g each)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 slices cheddar cheese
  • 2 lettuce leaves
  • 2 tomato slices
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat.
  2. Season the beef patties with salt and black pepper.
  3. Cook the patties for 4–5 minutes per side, or until they reach your preferred doneness.
  4. Place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty during the final minute of cooking and allow it to melt.
  5. In another skillet, heat the oil and fry the eggs until the whites are set and the yolks remain slightly runny, or cook to your preference.
  6. Butter the burger buns and toast them until lightly golden.
  7. Spread mayonnaise on both halves of each bun.
  8. Assemble the burger by adding lettuce, tomato, the cheeseburger patty, the fried egg, and finally the top bun.
  9. Serve immediately with fries, chips, or a fresh salad.
