The Egg Cheddar Burger is a hearty sandwich featuring a grilled beef patty layered with sharp cheddar and a golden egg. It’s a comfort-food classic with a gourmet twist, balancing smoky, cheesy, and buttery textures.

Ingredients

  • 2 burger buns
  • 2 beef patties (about 150–180g each)
  • 2 eggs
  • 2–4 slices cheddar cheese
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp butter or oil (for cooking eggs)
  • Lettuce leaves (optional)
  • Tomato slices (optional)
  • Burger sauce or mayonnaise

Instructions

  1. Season the beef patties with salt and pepper.
  2. Cook the patties on a hot grill or pan for about 3–4 minutes per side (or until desired doneness).
  3. Add cheddar cheese on top of each patty during the last minute of cooking so it melts.
  4. In a separate pan, fry the eggs in butter or oil until the whites are set but the yolk remains slightly runny.
  5. Toast the burger buns lightly.
  6. Assemble the burger: spread sauce on the bottom bun, add lettuce and tomato (optional), place the cheesy beef patty, then top with the fried egg.
  7. Close with the top bun and serve immediately.
