Chicken Burger

Ingredients

For the Chicken Patties

  • 500 g (1 lb) ground chicken
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley

For Assembly

  • 4 burger buns, toasted
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • 1 large tomato, sliced
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese (optional)
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tsp mustard

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, paprika, salt, pepper, and parsley.
  2. Mix until just combined and divide into 4 equal portions.
  3. Shape each portion into a burger patty.
  4. Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium heat and lightly grease it.
  5. Cook the patties for 6–7 minutes per side, or until fully cooked and golden brown.
  6. If using cheese, place a slice on each patty during the last minute of cooking.
  7. In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard to make the burger sauce.
  8. Spread the sauce on the toasted buns.
  9. Assemble the burgers by placing lettuce, tomato slices, and the cooked chicken patty on each bun.
  10. Serve immediately with fries, salad, or your favorite side dish.
