Super Soft Hamburger Buns

Ingredients

  • 1 packet dry yeast (10 g)
  • 200 ml warm milk
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 500–600 g all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg yolk mixed with 2 tablespoons milk (for brushing)
  • Sesame seeds to taste (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the dry yeast, sugar, warm milk, egg, butter, and salt. Mix well until smooth.
  2. Gradually add the flour while mixing. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until it becomes soft and elastic.
  3. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a kitchen towel and let the dough rest for 40 minutes, or until doubled in size.
  4. Divide the dough into equal portions and shape them into balls. Place them on a greased baking tray.
  5. Brush the tops with the egg yolk and milk mixture, then sprinkle sesame seeds on top if desired.
  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for approximately 40 minutes, or until golden brown.
  7. Remove from the oven and allow the buns to cool slightly before serving.

These buns are perfect for homemade hamburgers and can also be used for sandwiches or sliders.
