Prep Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 kg beef ribs, cleaned
  • 300 g ground beef (topside or lean beef)
  • 14 g salt
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Cumin to taste

Instructions

  1. Cut the beef ribs into small pieces. Remove the white membrane and part of the fat, but keep about one-third of the fat to maintain flavor and juiciness.
  2. Grind the rib meat gradually using a food processor or meat grinder. You can also ask your butcher to grind it for you.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the ground rib meat with the ground beef.
  4. Add salt, black pepper, and cumin. Mix gently until all ingredients are evenly combined.
  5. Shape the mixture into burger patties using your hands, a burger press, or a round container lid.
  6. Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  7. Cook the burgers for about 4–5 minutes per side, or until they reach your preferred doneness.
  8. Serve hot with burger buns, cheese, and your favorite toppings.
