X-Egg Burger Recipe




X-Egg Burger is a classic Brazilian hamburger featuring a juicy beef patty topped with a perfectly fried egg, melted cheese, lettuce, tomato, and creamy sauces inside a soft toasted bun.

Ingredients

  • 2 hamburger buns
  • 2 beef burger patties (about 150g each)
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 slices cheddar cheese
  • 2 lettuce leaves
  • 4 tomato slices
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Season the beef patties with salt and black pepper.
  2. Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat and cook the patties for about 4–5 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked.
  3. Place one slice of cheddar cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking so it melts.
  4. In another pan, fry the eggs with a little butter until the whites are cooked but the yolks remain slightly runny.
  5. Cut the hamburger buns in half and lightly toast them with butter.
  6. Spread mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard on the buns.
  7. Assemble the burgers by adding lettuce, tomato slices, the cheeseburger patty, and the fried egg.
  8. Close the burgers with the top buns and serve immediately.
